the ants are simply making their springtime rounds (for they glance around at certain times each year). They will most probably be gone without harm in a week's time, give or take (are they fairly large, wholly black ants? If so, don't worry). If not, and if you feel like killing some incredibly beautiful, tiny, intricate and perfect little creatures... mix a spoon or two of borax soap (the powder) and couple handfuls of sugar (confectioners works best for the mix, I've heard). Do not put it where a pet or child can get to it (though you may want to try rubbing some into your eyes and/or inhaling it). I hope that you realise that in following through with this you are destroying something that is infinitely more beautiful than humanity will ever be.
