Sorry it has been a while since I have been here. I love lightning bugs. As a child I would catch them and watch them blink. I would put holes in a jar lid, catch a few, watch them blink a little then release them. I have known some that were cruel to them and would take their ''lights'' and smear them on themselves to glow... I think that is cruel because it kills them. They are beautiful to enjoy moe so when allowed to live.
