as days pass and more and more bugs hear that we've lost Skin, the more we realise how many of us he touched, and what he meant to us all. he was our leader on a voyage into the great unknown aboard our pirate ship. thinking about it we realised that there would be no fitter tribute to the Cap'n that his ship be completed and one day it set sail. we wrote to the Master and found out what our Cap'n had in mind... and the Master has responded and said that he's working on the project and in a few months, it will be reality! in the words of the Master himself ''...Skin's ship will sail!'' And we'll all be aboard it, with the spirit of Skin as our Cap'n leading us into the great, wide, mad world. he'd like that, we think... all in favour, say aye!

now i have a visit of captain's soul! a beautiful big dragonfly, looks exactly as skin, has just flown into my living room... he's settled on the ceiling, resting near the light. i took some pictures, don't know where to post it, but he'll allow me to put it on the wall of harbour bar i'll maintain... just want to share this surprise with all of the bugs sending heart to him.

i'm kinda shaken and very cold. doesn't feel real somehow. the frst time we spoke he apologised, i asked why - he said cos of israel's military policies and the heated discussions that followed when anyone found out he was from israel. when we talked on and off, we'd sometimes talk abt the war and everything around it. how he dealt with it all. if this is the amount of grief we feel, what is his family going through? ...words can't describe it... :'( seems like losing family. killed in an endless, thankless, fruitless war.

the travails of old age. i'm back, all. tho none of u, i expect, noticed that i was away. t'was my birthday, yarr. turned all of 24. preactically ancient in my book. went out to this neat, rustic island resort. darn good fun. couldn't hear anything but the wind and the sea. no phones, not even a motor. didn't even have elctricity for a while! just thot, i'd splat it.. cheers!

ave! landed back this morning. work went well. i, like some other lunatics, am a motorcycle enthusiast. this though a 'cool' hobby is horribly inconvenient in some seasons. and this being the monsoon in the southern hemisphere, i was once again reminded of my eternal folly. long story short - got drenched in downpours, fever, head cold, can't get time off work, moving in to new apartment = misery. what news aboard The Lesbian Seagull, cap'n? I recommend that we make our passage to the friendly Mediterranean - instead of contending with a Pacific summer or a Atlantic winter. Or it may just must be my cold talking. Your thoughts on this, cap'n?
