Word History: A friend is a lover, literally. this will be my last message, I had fun here last year, but it is not what it used to be. I came to this site because the chat was so much fun. Look at it now: There's nobody there, and if someone is there, they are undercover, as a mite. I had a few friends here, but some of them are too busy fighting eachother, and two very dear friends made their life a living hell by visiting this site. What started as a joke got very serious. In alphabetical order (hopefully): Barff, Bazul (might return), Berre, blaaT aka Rob, Chopper, Cinder, Dawn, Elle (might return), Em, Gillis, Hans, Henry, Hum, Lois, Mami, Marlies, Nessel, Omena, Rbt aka Bunny, Saga (Kelly), Salote, Sandman, Starr, all the Thopses, hell even Rosi is kind of interesting as a phenomenon. I'm sure that I forgot to mention plenty of other bugs, sorry about that. Thops, who did I miss?

There are obviously many, caring, funny, sweet, intelligent bugs at this sight. I've lurked for quite awhile and haven't gotten myself a real bug yet. It appeared that quite a few 'newer' bugs aren't as friendly towards each other as the 'older' bugs. Could be just me, however, I'll keep returning and will stay ingognito till I find myself an appropriate bug dress to slip into.

It never has been, is not, and never will be the Utopian “big, happy family” some feel it was, is or should be. Behind the façade real people with real lives exist. I find it surprising that - with visitors from all continents, bringing different languages, cultures, sexes, age ranges, personalities etc. – there are not more disagreements. But, from time to time, there will be disagreements. We should learn to live with it. In the words of Voltaire “I may disagree with what you have to say, but … etc. etc. …….” This is not a suggestion that we pretend that all is well, and that we should all be friends. It is a suggestion that we act pragmatically, move forward and learn to co-exist even where there is disharmony. It’s what we do in everyday life.

I've seen you on the splats but never had a chance to talk with you. I agree with Fawn, there are bugs who have left due to fighting with one another. I hate to see that, since the majority of the bugs I've seen, many named by Dahenk, seem to be very clever, funny and caring. Rosi speaks the truth. I haven't had the chance to speak to many of them, 'cause anytime I go into the sink, no one seems to be there. Just my luck I guess. But...I'll keep wearing my red dress and looking for messages on the splats and trying to find friends in the sink! Bug-love to all of you. :)
