g'nite Salotehawaiii, 12 Nov 05:39
see ya in the summer

 Salotehawaiii.
Nobody has the Salotehawaiii, 29 Aug 18:06
patience to sit in the sink and wait to be abused

 Dawn.
Nobody can be bothered... Dawn, 29 Aug 18:48
to leave any messages here either, for the same reason. It won't be long before it's typed right beneath me. Luckily it doesn't bother me but, I can understand why it might upset others.

 Salotehawaiii.
Hiya! Salotehawaiii, 30 Aug 04:59
are you still multi-colored from your tumble? Where are you off to next? :D

 Dawn.
Hi Salote :) Dawn, 30 Aug 10:39
I'm fully recovered now, thank you. Walking properly at last! Next..... I'm off to the Canary Islands in November, Los Chrisianos in Tenerife to be precise, can't wait to get some sunshine.

 Rosibutterfly.
Guess what Dawn? Rosibutterfly, 30 Aug 15:00
I jolly well went and did it again!!!

 Georgina.
That explains a lot. Georgina, 30 Aug 03:11
I was abused in the sink by those little black spiders. But isn't this sink place moderated? I've had it with chat rooms. If there aren't trolls then theres some old pervert going ''a/s/l?'' Gawd, its the same everywhere now.

 Salotehawaiii.
nope Salotehawaiii, 30 Aug 04:58
no moderator....sometimes the posts might be cleaned of spam but otherwise ya takes ya chances!

 Georgina.
Oh, that's a rum thing. Georgina, 31 Aug 02:29
Does this mean I could have my wings torn off by hungry little black spiders? How venal some are. Like Elling, obviously a little black nasty in disguise and with a foul mouth.

 Elling.
yeah we cant have it your way Elling, 31 Aug 14:32
you fascist bastard

 Georgina.
For a beetle Georgina, 01 Sep 13:23
You are exceedingly dim

 Elling.
and Elling, 01 Sep 23:39
youre exceedingly deluded, wrong and easily led for a butterfly near an object which emits light...(Oh the beetle said fuck! What a spamming idiot! Everything it says must be criticised, cause swearing is bad and this should be a nice site where anyone who doesnt inquire as to how my cat is feeling and uses bad language should be deleted! This is an outrage!) Listen, you are stupid because it needs to be explained to you that if you don't like what I say, you can just ignore it rather than telling me that im foul-mouthed and immature. Because you know what will probably happen? I'LL REPLY, and I might even use foul language again in that reply, think how bad that makes Jesus feel!

good ol days are long gone.

 Georgina.
How long? Georgina, 01 Sep 13:26
How long has this website been going for? It is unique, must say. Though has its full quota of malignant spiders and the occasional foul mouthed beetle, maybe ''the good old days'' can be restarted?

since swine flu showed up, don't believe the hype, 07 Mei 19:11
regular flu has out killed swine flu 700 to 1. but still, when ever I see someone cough these days, it makes me think there's something extra going around. it's human nature to think like that, though it's not necessarily true...yet.

Questions for the Kiwi Salotehawaiii, 01 Okt 02:07
amongst us.... What is a Hill's hoist? What is a milk bar?,What are tailor mades?, and in a pub what is a DB? more to come I'm sure....

 Nothing.
I'm not the kiwi, but can answer one Some old timer, 01 Okt 02:21
tailor mades are cigarettes made in a factory, as opposed to rollies, which you roll yourself. And then there's the whacky, which you know, is the best kind. I like to keep a surplus of all three on hand. Are you reading one those books with pages, that you can hold in your hands?

 Salotehawaiii.
yup Salotehawaiii, 01 Okt 04:17
I love them old fashioned thangs! I kinda figured the tailor mades...but what about the other queries?

 Nothing.
Hi Salo Been there. It was an experience., 01 Okt 05:09
''Tailor mades'' also referred to cigarettes made with a little inexpensive machine put out by the Bugler tobacco company during the depression of 1929-36. They also sold the cigarette papers. The can of tobacco cost 10 cents and the papers wer a nickel. They did a pretty good job and for about half the price. I have heard of a Hill's hoist referring to the lift used to transport skiers to the top of the slope. I suppose it could be applied to any number of things. Okay, how about pick-up-sticks, a Jew's harp, a slop jar, a thunder mug, or a meter jumper? Have you ever heard of a window box used as a refrigerator?

 Salotehawaiii.
old enough to know and have played Salotehawaiii, 01 Okt 05:42
the stick game, read about the others with the exception of a meter jumper....I assume it is not a kiwi jumping 39 inches! :D

 Rosibutterfly.
not a Kiwi neither ... Rosibutterfly, 01 Okt 05:24
... but just over the ditch from 'em, so can answer a couple for you Salo ... the Hills Hoist is an Ozzie invention, nothing to do with ski lifts, but is an ingenious round thing in your backyard that you dry your clothes on. A milk bar is just that, a place to buy your milk and your bread and these days all kinds of assorted extras. When I was a kid we bought our lollies there too, loose ones in brown paper bags .. *sigh .. No idea what a DB is in a pub (unless its a deadbeat), but I'm pretty sure MrBlaat can answer that one for you (in fact I'd stake my life on it!). ♥

 Salotehawaiii.
Hi Rosi ~ Salotehawaiii, 01 Okt 05:52
thanks for the info... ahhhh, we used to have ''Hill's hoists'' too, tho we didn't call them that. Ours were a bit different, they didn't go up and down jes' round and round. I think you're right re: Mr. BlaaT knowing his way round a pub...perhaps he'll answer. :D

 Nothing.
I think on a few accounts you're more import kiwi b-quality, 01 Okt 05:53
suitable to answer, as these terms largely strike me as Ozzie and not Kiwi. Especially Milk Bar, I know it's the oz term, here we call them dairies. There's an NZ brewery by the name of DB, and ofcourse ten there's VB..!

 Nothing.
DB!? off to mix a dirty martini, 01 Okt 07:14
I think a DB might be drambuie, or drambuie mixed with beer or something. I went to their website, and it's absolutely terrifying, but it made me want to try some of the cocktails on there. www.drambuie.com/flash.html I found myself moving my curser in circles on the menu to hear the different sound effects.

 Nothing.
I found myself doing meditation etc. and now I am lost again, 01 Okt 07:23
but I like your approach too.

 Nothing.
DB Make mine another DB Bitter mate, 01 Okt 10:43
stands for Dominion Breweries, one of the two largest breweries in the country, the other being Lion Nathan. In them old days dairy's used to be called milk bars but somewhere along the line that changed but have similar memories as Rosi. As far as the Hill's Hoist being Australian......they will claim ownership of anything that is remotely good and even some stuff that is not remotely good like Russel Crowe. But you are welcome to him.

 Mrblaat.
We've laid Mrblaat, 01 Okt 12:45
no stake to Russell Crowe I assure you.

 Rosibutterfly.
curious that ... Rosibutterfly, 01 Okt 13:34
you deny the ozziness of the Hills, but *shrug whatever, and we definitely lay NO claim whatever to the Crowe, he is all yours mate and welcome to 'im I say!!

Stubborn Australians keep denying the well documented scientific evidence that it was in fact a little flightless kiwi bird that invented the pavlova when she was beating those egg whites with her little beak to make a substance so light, so light, so light and it would get lighter and lighter and it would get so light that kiwi bird could float up in the air on it in order to experience what it is like to fly. This has been proven over and over again.
