You don't know what is going to happen. You are at the edge, the cutting edge of time, and just because it happened a hundred times already, doesn't mean it will again.

Hi

sad ain't it?remember.here stuffed bunny, 07 Nov 2010 04:22
I try to remember how to be kind, but I'm very forgetful, so I end up being a jerk and regretting not saying hi to the girl I once knew and loved

Every point has somewhere else to go. It will go there and still stay partly on the couch. I started out without capitals but became shy in the open space. Open spaces have rules to avoid offence. I like it here, I will come back.

And so on and on ad nauseam Gaston Enteritis, 03 Jan 2009 13:01
Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it - William Pitt the Elder circa 1770. Old Wendell was not born until 1811, so hardly an original thinker ? I am sure there are many more versions by others which pre-date the above.

News flash: Serendipity, 04 Jan 2009 02:51
There are no original thoughts. It's all here already. It just needs to be found. It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards.

To Nothing.
Yes! There! Are! berre stamps foot & smokes from ears, 04 Jan 2009 05:58
Originality lives. Long live originality. Just because something is already, does not mean it cannot surface originally from within someone else.

To Nothing.
It's an even stranger form of memory Harry Tambo, 04 Jan 2009 14:19
that works forwards - or am I missing some nuance ?

To Nothing.
Yes, we are all missing a lot make sense?, 04 Jan 2009 16:47
For one, most people consider the past to be behind them, and the future ahead. That's our spatial metaphor for chronology, based on our physical orientation and locomotion. Some, however think the opposite way. That is, that the past events of your life (what you have seen, and can remember) are really all you are certain of. You can visualize your past, you can see it, therefore it is in front of your eyes. On the other hand, ones future is not certain at all, therefore it is behind you, and you can't see it. Sometimes a quandary arises with this way of thinking when one seemingly has no interest in ''progress'' or ''moving forward'', because they have already done all that.

To Elling.
i heared that before Elling, 04 Jan 2009 19:10
but where? did you say it before?

To Nothing.
Another thing about forward memory, there. was that so hard?, 04 Jan 2009 17:11
as it relates to the topic at hand(Jung, synchronicity, Alice in Wonderland, originality). imagine if you will some idea floating around in the aether that has never occurred to you. But it may have occurred to someone else in the past, present or future, but never seen, heard, smelt, or touched by you. Now suddenly, it's in your head. Let's just call it 'mushroom swiss spinach garlic omelet' for the sake of example. How did it get there? Must've come from somewhere, right? You remembered it!

I have no problem in understanding the quandary part of it

To Nothing.
What did Dr. Who say about it? Or maybe Dr. Who knew?, 04 Jan 2009 21:49
Do tell. I haven't seen that show in ages. And I hope you're talking about the Dr. Who with the big hair and scarf. Nobody knew about this radically different concept of time when that show was on, except some indigenous South American people that thought that way. And they weren't aware that they were thinking differently. Or were they?

The best way to forgetremember.here skinny, 19 Mei 2008 07:46
is to leave it behind you. If it's there everytime you look at your palm, that makes it very difficult.. Adapting to change is an oppotunity to start with a clean slate. Project as much confidence as you can, even if you are normally lacking any sense of self esteem. Best fucking advice you'll ever hear. Its so difficult, well at least for me it was, but it's worth it when you relize it's impossible for anyone else to get close when you don't even like yourself.. Laugh it off when a sad familiarity passes you by. Save those thoughts for when you're alone with a glass of wine. I wish I could re-do high school.

High school Kallo, 06 Jun 2008 23:30
I wish I could re-do my last high school too. It's one of those places where it either makes you or breaks you, and by the time you know which and - if the latter - you have the knowledge how to have stopped things earlier, then it's too late. I've changed high schools now - I know different people and do different things. But I am still the same person somehow. And I am just worried it will happen again.
