Ego compensates for everything.

is a word I recently learned. It's about Intentionally sharing the joy of someone relating a success story by showing interest and asking follow-up questions.

It's from a book by Brené Brown called Atlas Of The Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience.

Another word she introduced is Bragitude; Intentionally tying words of gratitude toward the listener following discussion of personal success.

For me it doesn't include random spam + commercial advertising.

Far enemies show disconnection and near enemies are what drives a disconnection. They are more dangerous and sort of hidden. For example

Love; It's far enemy is absence of love. It's near enemy is attachment (clingy vs. free-flow)

Compassion; It's far enemy is cruelty. It's near enemy is pity.

I found this interesting.
Connection; it's far enemy is disconnection. It's near enemy is control. This is deeply rooted in most of our systems. Emotional, cultural, political, digital etc.

that our ego's are about protection. The ego shows a fear of receiving love by taking control. The ego shows love in trying to connect that fear (by taking control). Ego contains some judgement while your intuition does not. That's how to discern. And how to extract wisdom from feeling resistance. Noticing this dynamic within yourself helps you feed your (at most 5%) conscious mind with impact on the 95% unconscious mind that drives us most of the time. It's connecting you in stead of the fear.
