Unlike bees Beeflies have only one pair of wings.A pair of small modified wings called Haulters.Haulters are used for balance.Beeflies
often rest on a flower. Their food consists of
nector and pollen.Beefly larvae eat grasshopper eggs or larvae and pupa of other insects.
