Has changed quite a bit over the years. In the original, Cinderella never had a fairy godmother and she was a witch. She planted a magic tree to do her bidding. One day, while the Stepmother and sisters went out to the ball with out her, she called upon the tree to give her a beautiful gown and fur slippers. She went to the ball, met the prince, and, as such, left the ball in such a hurry that she forgot one of her shoes. The prince then found the slipper, and tried it on every maiden in the land.

foot was too big to fit in the slipper, so she cut off her toe, but the prince found out. The second stepsister tried on the slipper, but her foot was too big to fit, so she cut off her heel. then the stepmother tried, but her foot was also too big, so she sawed off her entire foot! the prince obviously caught her doing this... and, as such, Cinderella's foot was a perfect fit. She went off, married the prince, divorced him, and legally possessed all his stuff. The moral to the story has been debated by historians for years. Some say that it was against surgery, while others say that it had something to do with toes...
