I think the truth would set me free. But it would imprison others in misery. Is my freedom worth the misery of others?

yah Violetstrang, 15 Aug 2003 07:03
my city was out too. my neighbourhood was one of the first to go back on, though. and i ask to myself why, then it dawned on me, i live near the people with the money, we get everything first. it's not their fault for being rich, and i bet they're not as shallow and fake as i think they are, but i still hate those naieve self-centered bastards.

To Eisme.
6 hours here Vi... Eisme, 15 Aug 2003 12:17
I'm definitely not cut out for the Amish lifestyle... :)

To Violetstrang.
[6 hrs+ random brown outs] me neither... Violetstrang, 16 Aug 2003 08:21
...but it still pissed me off that i got power before the hospitals (generators can only do so much), water treatment plant and nuc plants (which leacked chemical vapours because of no power to regulate it.) i can go without for just a little while.

not bad.

To Massimo.
Not bad at all Massimo, 12 Aug 2003 23:21
Nice indeed! So he likes anime? Me too. (^_^)

To Eisme.
Thanks Vi... Eisme, 13 Aug 2003 00:12
Yep Mas, he does. I just wish he would expand his horizons a bit and indulge in a few other styles...

To Massimo.
Sure... Massimo, 13 Aug 2003 14:58
But there are even lots of styles in anime, contrary to the public opinion. I even once saw a cartoon which was an adult drama within a wineyard-plot. Lots of wine references and rich people talk. Pretty boring actually...

Sexed Texts? Eisme, 11 Aug 2003 20:30
Interesting article in the New York Times magazine this week...we already knew that men and women have different styles of writing, but the differences are quite subtle and I would think it takes an intuitive person and a keen eye to decipher. Maybe even a computer program...

To whom it may concern... Eisme, 11 Aug 2003 17:06
found a quote in my email today:

''There came a time when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.'' -- Anais Nin

To Nothing.
oh how true in the bin, 11 Aug 2003 17:57
I am sure we have all been there at sometime. What is even more painful is when they rip your petals off and throw you away.

To Lipid.
they... Lipid, 11 Aug 2003 19:13
only rip your petals off if you allow them to...

To Eisme.
hmmm. . . Eisme, 11 Aug 2003 20:50
then there are the ones that coax you into blooming, waiting patiently for just the right time to rip you out of the ground, toss you onto the floor and stomp all over you. {{gasp gasp gasp}}

To Nothing.
Flower Power...... buddy, 12 Aug 2003 16:22
