creative ant spiral Milkcrate, 12 Okt 2023 02:07
this past year has been a very uninspired year -
i seem to have forgotten how to enjoy one's own art, creating for the sake of creation & self satisfaction... motivation has not found my way in some time and it's really frustrating. i have been enjoying music & others' artwork in the meantime, hoping the match will spark soon. an ant's drive to work, i suppose... :)

i find bugs to be amazing - i am one after all. alas ever since i was young i've had a phobia of centipedes!!

house centipedes (scutigera coleoptrata) specifically! upon seeing them i have a terrible, creepy full-body ''cringe'' reaction... only towards them! no other species of centipede gives me such a fright. in fact i find the bigger, more dangerous species such as the giant desert centipede to be beautiful.

as i am typing this i see a familiar 15-legged uninvited guest on my wall... sigh!

Seen in a holistic way you could think Sjeu, 07 Mei 2023 12:23
of it as a shadow spirit animal/totem guide. The symbolism of the animal you most fear/dislike shows your unconscious fear or unfulfilled desires. And it shows the right capacities, for you to develop those qualities for yourself. It's like an invitation to evolve :-)

Worms are my shadow spirit animal. Used to get so nauseous seeing them. I've managed to welcome lots of them in my garden. Don't pet them but cheer them on nowadays for helping me create a beautiful and luscious food garden.

i love the internet Milkcrate, 26 Apr 2023 23:08
the internet is so impossibly big & never ending. there will always be something fun to find around every corner. nothing can be preserved forever which makes me sad. internet archival is important. but even webpages forgotten by time are important and in a sense eternal. i love the earth & the internet!

Hi Milkcrate :-) Dare I ask you Sjeu, 27 Apr 2023 10:40
what, from your pov. is the best asset the internet can offer? And what would be the lowest online expression?

good evening! Milkcrate, 27 Apr 2023 15:47
i love the togetherness of the web (lol because we are bugs). the internet started as a kind of niche little thing but now it's so massive it brings the whole world together in one space...to share thoughts & creations & images all together. i like that. the worst part is, ithink, anonymity can make people quite jaded & mean some times. though there will be mean people everywhere i suppose...

i hope you are well sjeu ! your poetry is wonderful

Thnx for your nice reply and compliment! Sjeu, 27 Apr 2023 19:55
I appreciate that :- ) And also agree with you on the positive note about the web. This site is a true and rare gem imho, I'm thankful to have found an inspiring web canvas that invites to freely express, so I too can occasionally drop a poem or reflection. Hope this place grows into a warm online community. Beside connecting, the web nowadays caters everyone to educate themselves on so many things if they want to. Although learning to filter true knowledge from mass information can be helpful.

Watching this interesting video series Sjeu, 27 Apr 2023 19:55
that proposes how to infuse ethics into our online practices, because the web we know also has an increasingly negative impact on governing and manipulating people. Which is very detrimental
to any society. Especially the 2nd part dives in deep into that. I actually feel a lot of it makes sense and like to get my mind stretched every now and then. And by watching respectful conversations about topics of interest I learn and improve my English vocabulary :- )
