Just how long does it take?book.here Mascarabug, 31 Jan 2004 14:42
I've wanted to write a book since I was 9 years old... If I did eventually get started, would I be able to finish it? What a thought! What's worse? Never starting or never finishing?

Thankyou.

most welcome ... now, time to start writing

To Anamarija.
Never starting... Anamarija, 31 Jan 2004 17:21
is definitely worse. If you start then there's at least hope that something nice and worthy will come out of it. And if you don't start there's not even the hope.

Just come back... Haven't been writing though... Still not started!

Anamarija, you made a very good point. I will look at your message and maybe it'll give me the kick up the arse I need!

If you don't start you won't find out writing wasn't the thing 4 you, you can let it go then!

If I gathered all the post-it notesbook.here Foreversaved, 18 Jun 2003 13:48
- not just the post-it notes, but all the mental notes - about all the things I had intended to do, that would be a book in itself. And the lack of structure could stupefy everybody except those who already knew me and wouldn't have to read the book in the first place. Half the critics would hate it and the other half would call it ''postmodern'', ''stream-of-consciousness'' or ''avant-garde''. The only thing I'd agree with would be that it would be brutally honest - the honest proof of my procrastination/lack of drive.

''live life without regrets''book.here Sequoia, 21 Nov 2002 08:10
that's a friend's motto. can't stand her...yet I'd like to stop regretting things not done as well. but if you do want to write a book just to say you have, try this site...it's started but it will happen again next year. btw if I made a site like this I'd consider myself having written a book, a brilliant one. Good work, I enjoy listening to your thoughts.

reminds me of that army commercial where they ask you if you wrote a book about your life, would anybody want to read it? I have a feeling mine would be a good thing to read when you'd want to go to sleep.

Appropriate, oh too appropriatebook.here Moonpook, 30 Apr 2002 16:04
I just lost my job in the technology industry (again) thanks to the economy. My shallow encouragement to myself is that I can have the summer ''off'' to work on the novel I'm writing ... except I'm getting nowhere writing it now that I'm done doing the research, so I decided to come over here and wallow in hollow existence and clever web design ... only to land on a page with a big yellow post-it note that says, ''Write book'' ...
