To Jogchem
a small changewishing.here Jogchem, 12 Dec 2011 06:46
What do you think? Previous version:

Wishing doesn't make it so.
Wishing only creates a wish,
which you can then pretend
is all you really need.

Current version:
Wishing leads to nothing.
Nothing but hope,
which you can decide
is all you really need.

No now there's hope. And there's a decision instead of a pretending. What do you guys think of this subtle difference?

To Rosibutterfly
dunno ... Rosibutterfly, 12 Dec 2011 12:35
why you bothered!

To Jogchem
I bothered Jogchem, 13 Dec 2011 10:14
because I like to make sense. I wouldn't want people to miss the point because of my english.

I like to mix it up babeey: if in doubt, the answer is b), 12 Dec 2011 19:52
''...leads to nothing but a wish, which you can decide is really all you need.'' For me that rings truest.

To Jogchem
How about... Jogchem, 13 Dec 2011 10:08
Wishing leads to nothing but hope, which you can decide is really all you need.

To Jogchem
I'd like to add hope because Jogchem, 13 Dec 2011 10:12
I'm afraid not everyone will understand 'wishing leads to a wish'. Personally, I like that phrase, but I'm not sure people get it. It might not make sense to everyone. Then again... It's a little late to start worrying about that now.

To Nothing
ha ha! yes a little late perhaps. less sense is more geddit, 13 Dec 2011 18:57
please do not worry about people getting it. your brothers on the dark side in marketing can take care of that. just do your creative thing.

To Mudokonsam
The current version Mudokonsam, 20 Aug 2012 16:59
The current version contains more hope :)
The older version implies that all hope is gone/meaningless, where the current one implies the whole ''hope is in the eye of the beholder'', which I think is really sweet and meaningful.

A sincere wish arisen from meaningful thoughts and sensitive awareness, can encorage confident conduction.

Whether making the wish a veritable circumstance,
or the outcome of a selective process,
Knowing the difference between a only percived and a performed manifestation of ones surreal creations has an effect.
It doesen't make any wish redundant to me, but can create a second wish to proceed the first one.

Oh sweet irony

I like the subtile difference between the two conclusions of yours.

The first one Wastadime, 22 Jan 2017 01:02

Since I'm new to this website I didn't know about the previous version, but for some reason I prefer the new one. I like to think that a positive and hopeful mindset leads to good things.

How are you?

To Sjeu
To synchronize it Sjeu, 11 Mrt 2023 19:19
with the Dutch site,
I would suggest this;

Wishing leads to nothing.
Only awareness of some desire and
maybe the illusion that this is all you truly need.

Dutch version;
Wensen leidt tot niets.
Niets dan de wens zelf en wellicht
de illusie dat dat het enige is wat je echt nodig hebt.

Hello everybody Jogchem, 16 Mrt 2011 17:23
Please don't panic. There's a Facebook icon on the front page. I don't know what to think of it, but it's there. So let's see what happens.

To Ponica.
Hi Jogchem, Ponica, 16 Mrt 2011 18:22
I have to say this here, because I don't have a facebook account: I like this. It's like bugpool, but without having to do as much work, and with a totally different look and feel. It surely will bring more people here. Maybe bugs will go in the sink again?
